Chandler wobble of the Earth’s pole has decayed and changed phase by 180 degrees in 2020s. Such an event occurred once in observational history around 90 years ago. We study the excitation coming to the input of the dynamical system, searching for the cause. Modulations in the input excitation bring us to the hypothesis that the luni-solar tide could be responsible.
