About the school

Institute of Computational Technologies (ICT SB RAS), Novosibirsk State University (NSU), High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) and the Institute of Applied Mathematics of the University of Freiburg (IAM) jointly organize a high performance computing school to be held in Novosibirsk on September 19 — 30.

The program of the school includes courses on programming multicore processors, general purpose graphics processors, clusters and high level libraries for the development of computational models in science and technology.

The list of lecturers includes Thomas Bönisch and Oliver Mangold (HLRS), Robert Klöfkorn and Slavko Brdar (IAM). During the practical sessions access will be provided to a variety of computational devices available at ICT SB RAS and NSU including Intel Nehalem and AMD Istanbul compute clusters and graphics processors based on NVIDIA Tesla and Fermi architectures.

Attendance is free to all academics including university students interested in the theory, tools and applications of high performance computing.
