VIII ALL–RUSSIAN CONFERENCE WITH FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS “FREE BOUNDARY PROBLEMS: THEORY, EXPERIMENT, AND APPLICATIONS”
Tomsk, Russia, July 3-7, 2023
Free boundary problems are characterized by their rich content and a variety of applications: from technological processes to the environmental problems and problems of efficient nature management. The conference is held every three years. In 2002, 2005, 2008, 2011 and 2014 in Biisk, there were held the first five conferences devoted to free boundary problems. In 2017, the conference was hosted by Altai State University in Barnaul. There participated scientists from over 20 organizations from 12 Russian cities as well as scientists from foreign countries. In 2020, the conference was held at the Institute of Computational Modeling of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Krasnoyarsk. The Organizing Committee received more than 140 applications from 14 Russian cities and 14 countries. There were 5 plenary, 87 oral and 18 poster presentations at the conference. Among the participants of the conference were 4 academicians and 5 corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 46 doctors and 59 candidates. Informal cooperation of mathematicians and physicists, theorists and experimentalists contributed to enrichment of conference subjects and establishment of professional contacts.
It is planned to publish a book of abstracts and selected papers in the journals "Interfacial Phenomena and Heat Transfer" and "Tomsk State University Journal of Mathematics and Mechanics" after the peer-review procedure in accordance with the rules of these journals.
Lectures of leading scientists (40 minutes planar reports), 20 minutes oral talks, as well as poster presentations are planned. There are no parallel sessions.
The working languages of the conference are Russian and English.
