XVI All-Russian Seminar

with international participation 

"Dynamics of Multiphase Media"

Invate you to take part in the work of the next XVI All-Russian Seminar with international participation "Dynamics of Multiphase Media"

Khristianovich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences is planning to hold the XVI All-Russian Seminar with international participation "Dynamics of Multiphase Media" from 30 September to 5 October 2019 in Novosibirsk. The work of the seminar is organized in the following areas:

1. Problems of constructing physical and mathematical models of the mechanics of reacting/inert heterogeneous media and their application to the processes of motion of: - liquids and gases in porous media, - wave and detonation processes in gases.

2. Physical and chemical and mathematical problems of ignition, combustion of mixtures of gases and solid particles.

3. Computational and analytical methods for solving the problems of mechanics of heterogeneous media, including tasks to increase gas-oil recovery, drying, heat and mass transfer in apparatuses of chemical technologies, etc.

4. Laboratory and full-scale experimental studies of the processes of filtration of liquids and gases in porous media.

 

The problems under consideration are characterized by a close interconnection of fundamental and applied research and development. In this regard, the seminar will pay special attention to the practical application of promising methods for solving the urgent problems of mechanics of heterogeneous media for solving all the problems mentioned above from the point of view of introducing into design and creation of important national economic objects of oil and gas production and their explosion and fire safety. We will also consider the application of the theory of detonation to various technical applications.

Invited lectures by leading experts and oral presentations by participants will be presented at the seminar. The Organizing Committee of the seminar will conduct a focused selection of reports to give the seminar a targeted character and ensure the most favorable conditions for the implementation of research and development results into practice. Before the opening of the seminar, a collection of theses will be published, indexed in the RISC. According to the results of the seminar, it is planned to publish the proceedings of the seminar in English with indexation in the RISC, Web of Science and Scopus. The seminar will organize a scientific school for young scientists, students and postgraduates, including a theoretical part and practical classes, master classes with a demonstration of the capabilities of modern software for solving multiphase problems. School participants will receive certificates of advanced training of the established sample.
