The symposium will be held in Lyon, the third largest city of France, a major centre for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. The long history of Lyons which was founded by the Romans in the 1st century B.C. has continued to play an important role in Europe’s political, cultural and economic development ever since, this is vividly illustrated by its urban fabric and the many fine historic buildings from all periods.
