XXI International Conference on Chemical Reactors
"CHEMREACTOR-21"
September 22-25, 2014, Delft, The Netherlands

Publication opportunities

All accepted abstracts will be published as a CD with an assigned ISBN index and will be distributed to the participants at the registration. A Special Issue of the Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier) with double-refereed selected conference papers will be published after the event. Only papers presented at the conference will be considered for publication. Manuscripts (not more than 20 pages) should be submitted by e-mail to zam@catalysis.ru not later than October 15, 2014. The athours of the papers selected by the Program Committee will then receive the invitation to upload the manuscript to the Elsevier Editorial System (EES).

Explanations to publication procedure

It is planned that the selected papers presented at the Chemreactor-XXI conference will be published in the Special Issue of the Chemical Engineering Journal (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/chemical-engineering-journal). The number of manuscripts in such Special Issue is limited (typically 35-45 papers). From our experience with previous Chemreactor Special Issues, the amount of presented papers usually significantly excesses this number. Moreover, at the current Chemreactor we expect even the harder competition between authors, than earlier.

In other words, as always, we cannot guarantee that all Chemreactor-XXI contributions will be published in the Chemical Engineering Journal. Only selected manuscripts will be proposed for the publication in the Special Issue.

The selection of the papers will include two rounds of refereeing.

At the first round, the evaluation of the submitted papers will be performed by the members of the Chemreactor-XXI local program committee. Only papers presented at the conference will be considered for refereeing and selection. Manuscripts (not more than 20 pages) should be submitted by e-mail to zam@catalysis.ru not later than October 15, 2014. In the preparation of the manuscripts, it is recommended to follow the Guide for Authors of the Chemical Engineering Journal (http://www.elsevier.com/journals/chemical-engineering-journal/1385-8947/guide-for-authors).
The authors of the selected manuscripts will then receive the invitation to submit the manuscript to the Chemical Engineering Journal with the corresponding instructions.

The second refereeing round will be provided by, at least, three independent Journal referees. The refereeing procedure will be the same as in the regular issues of the Chemical Engineering Journal or similar journals. Of course, referees have a right to reject the low quality manuscripts; therefore, we cannot guarantee the publication of all papers selected at the first round.

Notably, the referees pay the significant attention to the agreement between the topic of the manuscript and the scope of the Chemical Engineering Journal. The papers dedicated to the engineering of the chemical reactions will be welcome. At the same time the works, for example, on synthesis and characterization of the catalysts without direct connection to reaction engineering issues may quite probably be rejected.

Good luck!
